WHAT DOES OUR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS DO?
Our certified and experienced occupational therapists work along with our speech language pathologists to treat persons with issues in feeding, cognitive or learning disorders, swallowing and posture.
Their tasks include:
- Helping children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations.
- Helping people of all ages recover from injuries .
- Providing support for older adults experiencing physical and cognitive changes.
- Comprehensive evaluation of the child’s history, environment and developmental skills.
- Guidance and training for parents and caregivers.
Occupational therapy practitioners have a holistic perspective, where the focus is on changing the client’s surrounding to help them adapt better.
And for the treatment to be successful, the client has to be an integral part of the team.
